Sitting on the second floor deck on a warm evening.

The doorway to the house has a magnetic screen on the door - like curtains, but the center edges clip themselves together after you pass through.

Most of the cats figured this out in, oh, five or ten minutes, and walk in and out just fine, the screen opens as they pass, and closes behind them.

One fine boi had no trouble going _inside_ - but found that the combination of screen, sunlight, and shadow seen when headed _out_ posed an incomprehensible, mystic barrier that required a run down the hallway and a _LEAP_ to pass through the screening.

The result, to those of us sitting outside, was the sound of little cat feet frantically racing up the hall, then a tuxedo cat flying out of the doorway at chest height like a small, furry Superman-Penguin hybrid.

This went on for two consecutive years, then at some point he must have noticed that the other cats were just walking through, and thought "Huh, I wonder if _that_ would work?"

Much less entertaining now, but a fond memory.

I am laughing like crazy at this movie in my mind!
