Draft2Digital just dropped the news on their blog that they'll be charging everybody who sells less than a hundred dollars a year a maintenance fee.

Note, they already make a commission off of every sale.

It’s offensive to charge those of us making the least money additional fees on top of the cut they already take. I’m getting more and more reason to move my non-Kobo / Amazon stuff to Ingram Spark.

@JallBarret yes I got that in an email today that is frustrating

@JallBarret "I’m getting more and more reason to move my non-Kobo / Amazon stuff to Ingram Spark."

I suspect that's the real reason behind the change. They're firing their small customers.

@JallBarret

My first thought is that D2D got the maintenance fee the wrong way around.

How about asking those authors earning a LOT to help share the cost? They can afford it.

Instead, D2D actively punish beginning authors and those who are not good at marketing and sales.

A little more solidarity would go a long way.
