People are missing that they don’t want to go back to the 50s when progress started to be made

They really want to go back to that 7% tax rate in 1912

With 1920s style immigration laws forbidding anybody but white Northern Europeans (clearly no Irish)

That’s when white vigilante violence destroyed Reconstruction’s gains and established America’s Jim Crow laws

(echoing through Nazi Germany, South Africa’s Apartheid, and Israel’s modern regime)
