I wonder what's up with these little ant asterixes (antsterixes?) they're forming along their path
is this the fabled communication by scent?

Deborah Pickett@jvw I saw this with a trail of ants in my kitchen last week, after I removed the attractor and disrupted the scent trail. It really looked like they were conferring. The next day the ants were gone, so they’d evidently come to an agreement.
