Surely the Slot era is over? The fitness, the quality, the desire - absolutely none of it has been anywhere near good enough this season. We’ve been unlucky with injuries, but he can’t say he wasn’t backed in the transfer market.

@tforrester And not to forgive him everything, but those players they brought in have barely played more than a match worth together. And three strikers left, Salah mostly left. One defender left, one came in and looked fantastic in first game, during which he also got injured. #lfc
@robj he’s definitely been unlucky. But I can’t help but think Klopp wouldn’t accept the level of performances we’ve seen this season; injuries or not.
@tforrester Fair point. I just really dislike when commentators and pundits talk about #lfc boosting their team with £450m of talent, like they've all been able to play, and we didn't lose anyone. We're not Chelsea or Man City. At no point have we ever really been able to field a team as strong as last season.
@robj agreed. We lost Diaz and Trent in part because we can’t match the wages City, Chelsea, PSG or Real can offer. That gets overlooked. £450m is just the going rate now. But the management and fitness still haven’t been good enough. The players share some blame, but ultimately the buck stops with the manager.
