Haven't used my external blu-ray drive in a while and wanted to check if the Leawo player would still work with non-region b discs and, well, the drive's dead.
Not sure why or how.
The best part? Pioneer discontinued all their optical drives a year ago. And with that they apparently also removed any support pages for that branch.
I love capitalism.
This thing's not even four years old. Modern tech sucks.
My favorite part about the drive was that it's a top loader. Just way more satisfying and fun to use than a normal drive.
So I'm really not looking that much forward to getting a new after I've moved, because whoever the techpulse brand or company is, they sure as hell aren't as much fun as Pioneer.
Time to get out the big boi, my old internal bluray drive, sitting around unused inside a drive bay casing.
This one's probably dead too, though.
Good ol 5.25 inch drives. Hail to the king.
I don't know what that type of USB3 non-standard port is called on here, but damn is this satisfying to plug in.
Welp, never a good sign when I have to install PowerDVD to test things related to bluray drives. *sigh*
I hate this stuff so much.
Alright, internal external drive and the disc is fine. Giving the Leawo player a final try, but I'm not expecting much.
The Leawo software is as terrible as PowerDVD is the worst kind of trialware.
I'm not sure what makes it not work with the old disc drive, while PowerDVD has no issues, but dropping the Leawo player is probably for the best.
