„The Pope is weak on crime.“

I have no idea what to say to that. Not defending the Pope or the Catholic Church, at all, but… come on! To utter these words in any other context than a Monty Python show is proof of mental incapacity.

Still, I’m not sure if this is more or less idiotic than „They are eating the dogs“. And he was elected president *after* saying that.
