The goal was to interview hundreds of staffers, volunteers, and voters across all 50 states to understand why the party lost ground with key demographics—specifically Latino voters, young people, and the working class.

In December 2025, Martin announced that the DNC would not be releasing the completed report to the public or the party’s rank-and-file. This move was a direct reversal of his earlier pledge of transparency. The DNC’s official rationale for the “mothballing” of the report was summed up in a now-widely quoted statement from Martin:
“Here’s our North Star: does this help us win? If the answer is no, it’s a distraction from the core mission.”
3. The Controversy
The decision sparked significant backlash from grassroots organizers and party activists for several reasons: * Lack of Accountability: Critics argue that without a public accounting of errors, the party is destined to repeat them in the 2026 midterms. * The “Gaza Factor": Reports and leaks suggested the autopsy found that the administration’s policy toward the conflict in Gaza and the high cost of living were major factors in voter alienation. This is exactly what I was thinking: The report unambiguously points to DNC leadership’s unwavering support of Israel and it’s leaders, genocides and all for the losses in 2024. To act on the report would mean Shumer and company would have to defy the Zionists whom they appear to actually represent. So better to suppress the data and hope that Trump hate will get them wins, not actually doing their jobs of representing Americans and what is best for their families.
They want to blame Harris for supporting Israel, or for not winning a primary, or Biden for not getting out earlier, or for running at all, etc., anything to keep from admitting that MAGA flipped millions of votes in the presidential race in the swing states, resulting in MILLIONS of straight Democratic tickets with Trump at the top, all concentrated in the swing states.
Who votes that way? Have you ever met one? Or seen one on TV? That’s because they don’t exist. They cheated, and the DNC and the MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries covered it up by declaring it Fair & Square before the dust had even settled.
Trump running an election Fair & Square? The one election he needed to win to avoid a life sentence in prison? That’s the one he decided to not cheat on for the first time in his life?
That’s not even remotely plausible. The Democrats ALLOWED MAGA to steal the election, and destroy America. They covered it up, and now they have to cover-up their cover-up. The Establishment Corporate Democrats are just as complicit in what is happening to our country as MAGA is.
The gaza angle is comical, even now. “No better than the only viable alternative, but maybe there’s hope” so people voted to ensure it’ll only get so, so much worse, on that and almost every other metric imaginable. It says a lot about education when people can’t do the equivalent of reducing an equation.
I won't address the obviously false implication that Trump was meaningfully worse on Gaza than Harris (for all his faults Trump did get a ceasefire), but also almost nobody actually made that calculation. People don't vote for people whose guts they hate, and the genocide gave one more reason for people to hate Harris's guts.

You forgot that if they did a real investigation of the 2024 election, they would have to admit that it wasn’t “Fair & Square,” like they declared as soon as the election was over, without any investigation at all.
Now they’ve done the autopsy, and they don’t want to talk about the MILLIONS of ballots that had straight Democrat tickets, but with Trump at the top, and they were almost all concentrated in the seven swing states.
Who votes that way? Do you know anyone who votes like that? Have you ever seen one on TV? Did any media outlet get a panel of Democrats for Trump to ask them about their vote? Who are these people? Show me ONE.
Obviously, MAGA figured out that all they had to do was flip one race in seven states, and that’s exactly what they did. Winning ALL the swing states was pretty much statistically impossible, so they should have tossed a couple of states Harris’ way, just to make it seem plausible, but Trump had to do the classic dictator thing, and have an overwhelming landslide victory.
Any autopsy of the 2024 election would uncover that immediately, it’s not like it’s a secret. But they can’t go back now, and say, “yeah, they rigged the election, and we should have recognized it immediately, but we were scared of MAGA so we covered it up for them. Now we have proof, but if we disclose how we helped MAGA fuck over the American people, and destroy America and the World, they will punish us just as hard as they will punish MAGA.”
They fear that disclosure could be the catalyst for an extremely violent reset of the government by killing nearly every elected member of BOTH parties, and starting over.

We don’t know those things, we infer those things, inference in law is as bad as inference in LLMs, utterly untrustworthy.

That starts with declaring MAGA to be a serious, ongoing National Security Threat, which is an easy case to make, considering their proven history of Insurrection, corruption, bribery, election fraud, and treason. MAGA needs to be prohibited from existing.
All MAGA leadership should be extensively investigated, and indicted, prosecuted, and sentenced for their CRIMES. Their fortunes should be completely confiscated by the government, and quarantined to create the American Democracy Fund, which will be the seed investment for social programs like Medicare 4 All, UBI, College/Trade School, etc.
THE 2024 election should be extensively investigated, and the full range of their election fraud uncovered. When it is clear that it was stolen, Trump’s ENTIRE second term should be invalidated. MAGA should not get to keep the spoils of their treason. All Executive Orders, Legislation, Appointments, etc., should be rolled back, and that includes Pardons. All those J6 Traitors will have to go back to prison to out their sentences, or have an additional 10 years added on for escape.
Of course Trump’s trials for his Insurrection and his Stolen Documents will be revived, and added to the mountain of charges. He will have plenty of company, as anyone who supported him in those acts of treason will face charges as well, and than includes most of the Republicans who ran their mouths and amplified the Big Lie after the 2020 election. Those who actively helped with planning, giving speeches on Treason Day, etc. will get prison, the rest will be forced to resign their offices. Future politicians will learn that supporting treason is a very bad career move.
There will be impeachments followed by criminal trials, for anyone left like Clarence Thomas, Alito, and lots of charges for those who engaged in corruption while they had the chance.
And speaking of the Supreme Court, we should enlarge it to at least 21 justices, or even more, and impose term limits. It shouldn’t be such a tight vote, that one bad faith person can end up controlling the direction of America for the next century.

The rich will be heavily taxed, in arrears, going back years, maybe decades. They will be heavily regulated and audited, and punishments will include harsh prison sentences, and confiscation of estates for the American Democracy Fund. They will declare all their offshore money, or they will suffer life prison sentences, and the full confiscation of their estates, leaving their families destitute. They will understand that they keep their money at the pleasure of the American people, and if they abuse that privilege, they will lose EVERYTHING. They will learn they exist to serve the American people, not the other way around.
Foreign Oligarchs will not be welcome in America without being heavily taxed and controlled. They will not enjoy the same freedoms as citizens, and operating your business in America will carry heavy fees. America is not where you come to abuse the system to your corrupt advantage. Those who have already done so will go to prison and lose their fortunes. Space X and Starlink will belong to NASA, since we paid for it anyway. That’s another thing, they pay their own way. We can’t afford to give money to wealthy people, our citizens come first.
It sounds radical, and some would think it’s impossible, but we are in unprecedented times, and we will have to apply unprecedented solutions, and nothing I proposed would run afoul of the the Constitution. MAGA has enthusiastically embarked on a similar reconfiguring of America, but in their own evil image. We should follow their lead, but instead reconfigure America into a decent, moral image that honors the original promises of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
The best we can do is reverse everything the cheaters did, as much as possible.
That means that nobody gets to benefit by the corruption and treason of the administration.
Again, how? I legitimately believe there is no peaceful way out of this, and I hope I’m wrong.
We have to elect representatives who take that title seriously, and actually represent US, not their campaign donors.
That will require taking all money out of campaigns, and highly regulating campaign financing and speech. No more PACs, Dark Money, etc. All of that are just excuses and vehicles to manipulate elections and bribe politicians. The only proper answer to some Sociopathic Oligarch whining “That violates my freedom of speech!” is “SHUT THE FUCK UP!” We have no obligation to be polite to bad people.
And if they keep it up, we investigate what kind of scam they’re trying to run. They’ll learn to go along with the process that filters out corruption, and go ply their criminal occupations in the streets like normal criminals. Our government is off limits to crooks.

DSA has the most success with this, i recall atleast one case where the DNC dissolved it’s state party rather than allow the DSA to take over the party.
pretty much, it is the only realistic way of fixing things outside of full on revolution. quietly take over seats until you have the majority necessary to take control of the party’s pocketbook. $ is the only thing the majority of establishment politicians care about anyway, if you have control of that they will either flip or dropout when the hassle isnt worth it anymore.
DNC at the national level is actually very close to this itself, iirc. progressive caucus was only 10 or so seats away from having a majority (if dem) seats. if enough progressives get seats in this next one entire leadership of DNC could be upended real quick
