ArtemisIt's so weird how upset everyone seems to be about the Trump Jesus picture. It seems really normal for him & fits pretty well with how a lot of MAGA Christians see & depict him.
Is anyone who doesn't already hate Trump actually upset?

@artemis I'm not sure about the Jesus picture specifically, but AP is reporting that many right-wing American Catholics are indeed deeply shocked by Trump's verbal attacks on #Pope Leo. People who are used to valuing consistency often grossly underestimate the extent of dissociation and compartmentalization that exists in the minds of Trump's mass base. So yes, I'd expect many religious #Trumpezoids to be genuinely shocked at the Jesus picture. They do have limits. They aren't even close to where OUR limits would be, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

It's just odd because MAGA Christians have frequently depicted Trump as Jesus, & I'm having a very hard time believing this is actually the first time Trump has shared such imagery.
If people are upset now, it seems to me as though it's less that a new line has been crossed & more of an indication that they are already weary of him for other reasons.
@artemis It's certainly dawning on them that his actions are likely to impoverish THEM, and not just the people they hate. So they're becoming less tolerant of his BS.
But also: blatant Trump-as-Jesus symbolism is one thing when it comes from random fellow #Trumpezoids, quite another when it comes directly from the Maximum Leader himself.
