Cartoonist Rob Rogers was fired from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in 2018 for the cartoon below. While he seems to have done all right for himself, it's just one episode of many showing the rank cowardice of the media that contributed to this disaster.

@MaryAustinBooks I have commented here on Mastodon about the cowardice and complicity of journalists on several occasions. And, I have tagged the journalism profession in such comments. But never has a journalist replied in defense of their behavior. My guess is that they are afraid of being punished or fired.
