Just Penpot completely misreading the room by excitedly asking Mastodon users which apocalyptically destructive garbage generators are their favourites, accompanied by a meme that would make a Facebook boomer cringe.
I take from this that Penpot is now very likely being significantly vibe-coded, so that’s seriously dampened my previous enthusiasm for it. What a waste.
@paddyduke @penpot I’m not sure they are, I think it’s more about building in MCP stuff so that if you *do* use the DGGenerators then they should do the right thing.

@jamesjefferies They definitely do implement a bunch of MCP stuff for plugins. I've seen them talk about it a lot recently.
The tone of this feels a bit different, though. When I see AGENTS.MD and other agent instructions in a repo, I assume it means they're accepting LLM-generated code on some scale.
I've no doubt the competition (specifically Figma) are far worse, but it still disappoints me, and rarely goes over well on Mastodon.
