Okay, sure. A lot of what we know they were scanning for was malicious. I would still be very not okay if someone from the candle bar I refill my handsoap at dug through my purse looking for moldy crackers.

@Epic_Null @SecurityWeek While I appreciate the article's rebuttal, one has to take precedent and the source into account, which means that a Microsoft and AI-backed Linkedin is more likely than not to do this kind of thing. 50/50.
@AAKL @SecurityWeek I would also expect that once this kind of thing is in progress, developers would add more justifyable uses, not just to appease their bosses and provide cover, but to appease their own desperate needs to be doing something good for the user.
