any #blind #podcast listeners?
I need to find an app, that allows me to listen to podcasts, and sync my listening across #android and #windows
anyone, anything?
@menelion @patricus windows and android together will be a challenge. Maybe with 1 that supports web playback on PC?
@JStark @menelion web is fine but no pocket casts as that is ran by shitty ableist company that locks people out of their own stuff.
@patricus @Tamasg PocketCasts!
@patricus @Tamasg You can use the native mobile app and it syncs with the web player (which isn't bad) or a native windows app (It is an electron app if I remember right).
@tsquires @Tamasg yeah, it is made by the same people that locked me out of my own website, no thanks.

@patricus I am using gpodder app for nextcloud. It acts as my self-hosted server side component for syncing various podcasting apps. On android I'm using antennapod, on gnome I'm using gnome-podcasts that have recently added gpodder sync support into the nightly version.
I think there might be some windows clients supporting this however I haven't checked these windows apps for screen reader accessibility.

@pvagner yeah, that'd not work due to gPodder's official app using gtk and gtk being, let's say, sight-first and ableism-first
@patricus Yes gpodder won't work on windows with a screen reader but there are other 3rd party apps running on windows. Are all of them inaccessible to screen reader users on windows?
@pvagner as far as I know, that's the only one.
@pvagner opensource is so meh.
@pvagner like, they can't do a keyboard navigable anything
