I don't give a good god damn about Leo's performative, obvious statements about Vance, Trump, and Iran, or the ways in which Trump burnishes Leo's reputation with a clap back. Leo is no more of a hero than Francis was. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops voted by a huge margin in 2025 to ban trans healthcare, and that is in line with statements both popes made about trans people in general.
