Is it actually just me or does the use of AI also have a (negative) impact on one's confidence?

Even when doing something seemingly trivial like writing an email, I wonder these days whether to just write it myself like I did for all my business life and just send it - or if I should have AI cross-check it before doing so. Maybe I missed something stupid or something can be, maybe should be improved?
