on my first train on the way to Glasgow. To start my holiday in Scotland. Visiting Glasgow, Edinburgh (for the rugby), Tarland (My Grandad was from here), Aberdeen, Dundee and finally Edinburgh to catch a train back. Aberdeen and Dundee are overnight stops. #bobInScotland

@bob There is the regular fannish gathering in the Dagda on Thursday and Saturday. The new Otherworld place on Leith Walk is great, and there’s the brewery crawl of Leith too.

@bob the hanging bat in Edinburgh is a smashing spot for a few beers. And I had an excellent lunch in Tuktuk last trip. Oh and a fab pastry sour in Fierce Beer. And Chaopraya for thai. Edinburgh is just chock full of excellent food and drink

@bob Goid general fabric shops. Edinburgh: Edinburgh Fabrics and Fabric Focus; Glasgow: Mandors and Fabric Bazaar. Depending on what you want, there is a cluster of south Asian fabric shops in the Govanhill area of Glasgow.
