I don't think so, but it is a "damned if he dies, damned if he doesn't" situation. I think it works in J.D. Vance's favor in 2028 if he's running for re-election as the incumbent president. But Trump surviving and us having to endure a full second term of him is also terrible.

No, I don't think he will last that long, but we will miss him when Vance the full-time-Fascist becomes the actual president, instead of the de facto one.

Experience has already shown he can say the most unhinged statements and lead the country into conflict and they’ll pretzel themselves to justify it all.
