Landed in SF to the amazing news the Orban's corrupt, anti-democratic regime has been ousted after viciously suppressing a free press, rigging the courts, and gerrymandering the electorate. Added to Poland, shows change is possible.

Congrats to Hungary, Europe, and everyone that's against the oligarch-illiberal axis that Putin and Trump prop up. A great day for us all.

@slightlyoff Just to temper some of the enthusiasm, Peter Magyar is an anti corruption center right reformer. That was a winning strategy in Hungary for a number of reasons and will be good for the country but he won't end conservativesum. He's very similar to Orban on LGBTQ issues and immigration for example. That said he will make me much less embarrassed to get a Hungarian passport (hopefully)

@slightlyoff to be clear I'm so happy with this change. Yesterday the fact I want EU citizenship and Hungarian ancestry was the best way to get there always a bit embarrassing. If Magyar follows through on half of the campaign promises that will take a ton of the sting out of it.
