Something to note about the Hungarian election is that the Orban's FIDESZ party engaged in GOP style gerrymandering to try to skew election results in their favor in their voting districts. They ran into the problem of high turnout, which is the Achilles heel of gerrymandering. They gave themselves FIDESZ majority districts, but with margins that *only* work if turnout is light or ordinary.
With high turnout, they got wiped out of the *parliamentary seats* which is going to allow TISZA to immediately reverse the bulk of Orban's constitutional & regulatory abuse. There was always a strong likelihood of Orban himself being defeated, but the real victory was ripping out his party's control of the parliament.
We need to pay attention to this in the US & we need to repeat this success, state by state, district by district.
