I realise the danger of playing into bigoted tropes but with Crabapple speaking about true solidarity, seeing past difference and emphasising recognition of shared experience it really highlights how some ethnic practices (perhaps particularly orthodox religious practice) can aggravate fear, mistrust and resentments in communities
