Brain’s on a roll tonight. I realised I felt capable of #reading a book (the bar has been that low for quite a while). I have read the first few chapters of this before, but still. That Pulsetto vagus nerve device combined with a good chiropractic session, the energising and ADHD audio tracks, and damn.

I can’t remember when the most recent slump started, or why, but I’ve been unable to read much of a book for years, aside from a few that really grabbed me. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was an exception sometime last year since I love her writing, but I’ve held off buying the latest one in case I couldn’t get into it. Having them sitting around unread makes them seem boring.

I also haven’t had any interest in video games for quite a few months. I always went in phases with things, leaving games for months and then playing them daily, but this felt different. It’s been a very boring time recently with more and more things off the table when I occasionally had some #energy

#burnout

Second #ArtemisFowl book btw. I like goods kids’ fiction often more than adult books. ADHD brain needs simpler and grabbing, even without burnout. Fascinating character, Artemis.

The fandom was quite taken with Number Five from #TheUmbrellaAcademy tv show when the Artemis film made a mess of it (even in the trailer they’re telling him about his father as if he doesn’t know, it’s very strange). They asked if they could adopt Five as played by Aidan Gallagher, and we were happy to share.
