After the community sing-along with Sister Margaret at the piano, it was time for the main act — Harry the Hypnotist.

Harry stood on stage and announced he was going to hypnotize the entire audience all at once.

The room went quiet as he slowly pulled out a beautiful gold pocket watch on a chain.

“Everyone, keep your eyes on the watch,” Harry said.
“Just watch the watch… watch the watch…”

He gently swung it back and forth, and the whole audience sat there staring as the watch moved side to side.

Back and forth… back and forth…
“Watch the watch… watch the watch…”

Just as everyone was falling into a trance, the chain suddenly snapped.
The watch hit the floor and shattered.

Harry looked down and said,
“Sh*t.”

It took three days to clean up the community center… and Harry was never invited back again.
