Still need to get the floppy drive disassembled and cleaned, but I did install the twisted pair nubus card I picked up at VCF Midwest and got the right version of the Network Software Installer downloaded and transferred over. My IIci is now network-enabled under system 6.0.8 and 7.1!

@Holx Homestly, the PSU was pretty straightforward in my case. I ordered a recap kit for it from console5.com and just sat down and did it. None of the caps on that really gave me any trouble, though I skipped the two caps on the ac plug board because Iā€™d have to desolder the plugs themselves to access them. Make sure you confirm the make and model number, there are several options.
