No, this is not Arizona. This is the Rambla de Barrachina also known as Cañon Rojo or Red Canyon. It is near the town of Teruel in Aragon, Spain. The circular walk takes one up the dry river bed first, which also functions as a gravel road. Smaller ditches form at the back of the main canyon once the roads leaves the river bed and ascends. At one point a footpath breaks away and passes relics from the Spanish civil war. The main event is when this path tops out above the main canyon walls for spectacular views. There is a tricky descent between this path of white soil and a wider path of red soil. The latter leads one back to complete the walk.
