Heres a story I like to tell..

Once upon a time, there was an energy resource that powered the world, lit and warmed every home and employed masses of people.

A new, cleaner, better technology came along and the energy barrons fought it tooth and nail. "its unreliable, dangerous even, and will create massive unemployment"

It was whale oil being replaced by electricity.
