HeliopolitanMy Psion Series 7 is now *fixed* - temporary fuse bridging, awaiting a replacement 750mA fuse. It joins the happy ranks of @thelastpsion's Netbook in being fully operational. For those at the back, these are fabulous Distraction-Free Writing Devices (DFWDs) - if you have one sitting at the back of a drawer, *get it out*! And if it doesn't work, *we can fix it* (well, we can try...)
I did balls-up my leather cover however, so I have used my old staple of bookbinding tape in the interim... #Psion

@fluidlogic @thelastpsion I still think the 5mx hits the sweet spot for me, although they're all lovely in their own wee way, even the (cursed) Siena ;-)

@thelastpsion @fluidlogic it's a surprisingly simple fix - you need to disassemble the hinge wires, remove the broken hinge, and cut away the little bit of green case at the screw. Fold the piece of copper strip around the wire, crimp, make sure you drill the wee hole in the right place, and reassemble :-) happy to share more.
@thelastpsion @fluidlogic I gave up on the battery cover clip. Stupid thing. Inserted a piece of plastic and covered the whole thing in book-binding tape, and it ain't half bad! Now you just open it with your thumb. Easy.
