I was looking for the notes I took for #riven I heard people say that I got to write down what sounds some puzzle pieces make, but I am not good with sounds, so I just wrote words that would remind me of them. The list so far looks like this : a crow, ?, an old slumbering bear, little wings, and a specter washing its window.
People should be glad that I am not writing guides, lmao

@Ypsilenna Eugh, I hate it when sound is important for puzzles. I nearly gave up on The Witness because of its sound puzzles. Sounds like Riven might not be for me :'D
@eishiya Yeah, me too. My hearing isn't that great.
When I played Myst I decided to cheat one puzzle with a guide because the moment I realized that I need sound clues for finishing it, I was like, "Hell no, I'm not doing that!!!" 😆
Riven seems quite overdone in terms of difficulty and sound puzzles. I am playing this game partially with a guide because I just want to experience the lore before I start the remaining Myst games. I love Myst games even though my ears do not, lmao
@Ypsilenna Oh no, Myst has them too? I was hoping to play these games one day, but it sounds like I should pass.
@eishiya In Myst there were two sound puzzles as far as I remember. One where you had to figure out the directions in a metro based on beeps from the vehicle's console and another one where you had to adjust a machine to signals from around the island. The second one was easy because the sounds were quite distinct and it was easy to figure out if you got them right based on the visuals. The underground ride, however, pissed me off.
