I am trying to follow some loops profiles here on mastodon, but not all posts appear in the timeline of the @velichor on mastodon (for example, I had to search this message by its url that I found on loops.video). Why?

now that I cited it on mastodon it appears in the @velichor timeline. I guess it must be one of this federation glitches on mastodon 🤷

@btel @velichor Mastodon doesn't backfill profiles, so you may need to search each video for a Loops account for it to appear on your Mastodon server

@dansup @velichor ah ok. Thanks for the quick answer. Now that I follow it, I guess the new posts will be correctly federated? Kudos for loops.video 👌 I only wish the mastodon app would have better interface for watching videos.

@btel You can «cheat» by copy link from a loop-post and paste and search on you mastodon-instance (as with links other activtypub servers (Peertube, WordPress, Pixelfed. etc.)

Hopefullly Mastodon will suppoert backfilling soon.
