User description: #### (Corp Deck: [Psychic Damage](https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/7db1e943-e816-4157-8ea2-050e73ad3813/psychic-damage-3rd-at-apac-showdown-)) Shoutout to [Liadahlia](https://netrunnerdb.com/en/profile/46567/liadahlia) and [Laura_42](https://netrunnerdb.com/en/profile/47953/laura_42) for practice and recommending this list to me! Shoutout to my teams SCRUBS and [Janktinho](/en/card/34079)! Congrats to [Lia](https://netrunnerdb.com/en/profile/46567/liadahlia) for taking first! Congrats to [Midrev](https://netrunnerdb.com/en/profile/44355/midrev) (Janktinho) for 7th! # [Seb](/en/card/34066) Basics ### The Engine - [Amanuensis](/en/card/34069), [Solidarity Badge](/en/card/34003), and optionally [Valentina](/en/card/34095) generate a ton of value if you can keep them going every turn, but this means you have to float tags. ### Avoiding Tag Punishment - Basic Action :Trash 1 Resource. - [Crew](/en/card/34073) or [Friend of a Friend](/en/card/34074) and occasionally [Manuel](/en/card/34075), [Hannah](/en/card/34008), or [Lago](/en/card/34009) are the biggest targets for this ability. - [Seb](/en/card/34066) is inherently resilient to this because of his ID text, but especially if you can pressure cards in HQ so the corp cannot afford to spend the tempo trashing your [Crew](/en/card/34073). Try to use [Crew](/en/card/34073) quickly after installing so that you can go back to floating tags. - Don't float tags with [Friend of a Friend](/en/card/34074) out unless you *really* don't need the money. - If you are ready to land a [Privileged Access](/en/card/34068), you may decide to simply reinstall any resources the corp trashes. - [End of the Line](/en/card/33125) - If you opponent is [BANGUN](/en/card/35068), never float tags without 4 cards in hand - If your opponent is [AU Co.](/en/card/35046), never float tags without 5 cards in hand ([Mindscaping](/en/card/34045) + [End of the Line](/en/card/33125)). And potentially try to have [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) + [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) to survive (2x [Mindscaping](/en/card/34045) + [End of the Line](/en/card/33125)) - If your opponent is [Thule Subsea](/en/card/33095), never float tags. - [Unleash](/en/card/36044) - This card will almost certainly rez a [Týr](/en/card/26102) for free and stick you with 2 core damage, leaving you vulnerable to [End of the Line](/en/card/33125) for the rest of the game. - Only float tags into this deck if you know where all copies of [Unleash](/en/card/36044) and [End of the Line](/en/card/33125) are (). Beware of [Spin Doctor](/en/card/30053) + [Gaslight](/en/card/33114). - [Predictive Planogram](/en/card/30056) - This card is most important directly following a [Transfer of Wealth](/en/card/35017). Save a to clear the tag post transfer. - [Greasing the Palm](/en/card/34037) - Don't get caught off guard by this, If you sweep HQ and lock R&D with [Manuel](/en/card/34075), or [Transfer of Wealth](/en/card/35017) them to 0 you can float. - [Shipment from Vladisibirsk](/en/card/33119) - If your opponent is [Yellow](/en/card/34048), never float 2 tags. - [Gourmand](/en/card/35007) can help you control key Operations (or [Týr](/en/card/26102)) so you can go back to floating tags. ### Trashing ICE with [Crew](/en/card/34073)-[Charm](/en/card/26068) - You want to be running with this combo as often as possible, you can confidently run any single ICE server and the run will be successful with only a few exceptions ([Event Horizon](/en/card/36058), [Kessleroid](/en/card/35075), [Flagship](/en/card/36064), [Skunk](/en/card/30042), [Void](/en/card/30050), [The Red Room](/en/card/36045)). - You usually want to use this to make sure your [Transfer of Wealth](/en/card/35017) lands ### Card Notes [Lago Paranoá Shelter](/en/card/34009) - In most games you will want to [Ashen Epilogue](/en/card/34094). If [Lago Paranoá Shelter](/en/card/34009) already hit your [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) or [Ashen Epilogue](/en/card/34094) you probably want to decline this ability until you find the other one. - Also be cautious activating without [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) if you are running low on [Devil Charm](/en/card/26068) as you cannot recur this except with [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093)/[Ashen Epilogue](/en/card/34094) [Friend of a Friend](/en/card/34074) - You will need this money to get going, you want one of these or a [The Price](/en/card/34002) in your opening hand. You almost always want to use the take tag ability and use it to install with [Seb](/en/card/34066) - Because of this, don't get to hasty to install your other Connections with the Basic Action, you'll have plenty of [Friend of a Friend](/en/card/34074), [Transfer of Wealth](/en/card/35017), and [Privileged Access](/en/card/34068) tags to install them for free. [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) - Don't forget you can use [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) RFG Ability for something other than [Ashen Epilogue](/en/card/34094). (Usually if you already have or already tucked [Ashen Epilogue](/en/card/34094)) - It can be a [Rising Tide](/en/card/35009), [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073), [Privileged Access](/en/card/34068) or [Transfer of Wealth](/en/card/35017) on demand, and with all your passive draw, usually clicklessly to hand. - This is powerful right before [Ashen Epilogue](/en/card/34094) as you can fire one more [Transfer of Wealth](/en/card/35017), [Privileged Access](/en/card/34068), or [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073) right before shuffling them all back in for another go. - You might catch some corps who think you are out of [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073) off guard this way. # [Seb](/en/card/34066) Kickflips ### [The Tungsten Tailor](/en/card/36003) This card is heavily match-up dependent, against some ICE suites it is a ton of value. But since you are planning to destroy the most annoying ICE anyway, it can sometimes struggle to justify it's cost. - 0 str ICE: ([Flyswatter](/en/card/35079), [Whitespace](/en/card/30074), [Event Horizon](/en/card/36058)) pay you 1. - 1 str ICE: ([Tatu-Bola](/en/card/34044), [Afshar](/en/card/26058), [Kessleroid](/en/card/35075), [Descent](/en/card/34125), [Ping](/en/card/30055), [Tithe](/en/card/30073), [Ablative Barrier](/en/card/34034), [Paywall](/en/card/36052)) can now be broken by [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) for no cards, and pay you 1. - 2 str ICE: ([Akhet](/en/card/26123)) only matters for [Rising Tide](/en/card/35009) and saves you 1. - 3 str ICE: ([Bumi 1.0](/en/card/35041), [Semak-samun](/en/card/35054), [Doomscroll](/en/card/35063), [Lamplighter](/en/card/35080), [Maskirovka](/en/card/33061), [Hafrún](/en/card/33108), [Drafter](/en/card/26101)) can now be trashed by a single [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073) and you save 1 on the barriers with [Rising Tide](/en/card/35009). - 4 str ICE: ([N-Pot](/en/card/35064), [CyberShark](/en/card/33036), [Mestnichestvo](/en/card/33053), [Vampyronassa](/en/card/33109), smol [Boto](/en/card/34109), [Funhouse](/en/card/30054), [M.I.C.](/en/card/34036), [Tree Line](/en/card/34059), [Winchester](/en/card/26125), [Sleipnir](/en/card/36030), [Lionsmane](/en/card/36041)) save you a card with [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) and you save 1 on the barriers with [Rising Tide](/en/card/35009). - 5 str ICE: ([Empiricist](/en/card/35052), [Envelopment](/en/card/33060), smol [Pharos](/en/card/30063), [Attini](/en/card/34042), [Ansel 2.0](/en/card/36028), [Knowledge Seeker](/en/card/36040), [Grubber](/en/card/36050), [Hagen](/en/card/26035) (?), [Sandstone](/en/card/26059)(?), [Tocsin](/en/card/36060)) can now be trashed by double [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073) and you save 1 on the barriers with [Rising Tide](/en/card/35009). - 6 str ICE (beeg [Boto](/en/card/34109), [Brân 1.0](/en/card/30039), [Hagen](/en/card/26035)): only matters for [Rising Tide](/en/card/35009) and saves you 1. - 7 str ICE ([Týr](/en/card/26102), stronk [Stavka](/en/card/33062)): Can now be [Crew](/en/card/34073)-[Charm](/en/card/26068)'d without taking a tag, which can be relevant if you're trying to play around [Unleash](/en/card/36044). - If you are planning to [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073) an ICE and have extra [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) counters laying around (or anticipate a purge) you can spend one to gain 1 before trashing the ice. (Even allowing you to [Crew](/en/card/34073) ICE from only 1.) ### Instant Connections We can use [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073) to take a tag mid run, instantly installing a Connection. - Most commonly, this will be a second [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073) so we can trash 4 strength ICE - Decks running [No Free Lunch](/en/card/33020) can even Triple-[Crew](/en/card/34073) an ICE with only one [Crew](/en/card/34073) and one [No Free Lunch](/en/card/33020) installed at the start of the run. - [Valentina Ferreira Carvalho](/en/card/34095) is another good target for this if you're on Threat 3 you can remove a tag, so that when the run is successful and [Transfer of Wealth](/en/card/35017) gives you another tag, you get another [Seb](/en/card/34066) trigger. (This can even draw you 2 cards mid-run if you have an [Amanuensis](/en/card/34069) counter. - A clickless [Hannah "Wheels" Pilintra](/en/card/34008) install is effectively a mini [Hyperdriver](/en/card/08070) if you need to contest a bunch of remotes or need extra clicks for [Thule Subsea: Safety Below](/en/card/33095) or [Méliès City Luxury Line](/en/card/36026) ### Credit Drain Ducking Effects and Subroutines that make the runner lose credits during the run (Ex: [Afshar](/en/card/26058), [Mestnichestvo](/en/card/33053), [Vampyronassa](/en/card/33109), [Tocsin](/en/card/36060)) can be avoided by having no money, and since [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) breaks ice for 0 Seb can often run with no money. - If there's an [Afshar](/en/card/26058) on HQ which we plan to break, and an ICE behind it we want to [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073), we usually have to start that run with 4. If we use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to trash a [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) during the run we can duck these effects for free! Effectively making our [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) worth 4 or 5 - In the most extreme case, you could run an advanced [Mestnichestvo](/en/card/33053) that has a [Botulus](/en/card/30004) with a single counter, ducking 6 of drain and still [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073) the ice behind it. Effectively [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) for 8 clicklessly. - If it is Threat 3, you can even take a tag with [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073), install [Valentina Ferreira Carvalho](/en/card/34095), gain 2, and use it to trash the crewed ICE. ### Damage Manipulation - If you anticipate taking lethal damage you can use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to trash [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) to increase the cards in grip by 1 - If you have a [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) in hand, you can RFG [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) to put another [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) on top of the deck, and either take damage or use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to draw it with the first one. - If you expect multiple instances of damage (Ex: 2x [Measured Response](/en/card/35078)) and the Grip has 5 cards and 2x [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004). If the first [Measured Response](/en/card/35078) hits only one [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004), leaving 3 cards in the grip, you can use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to trash [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) and draw up to 4 cards. - If you anticipate multiple instances of non-lethal damage you can use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) and [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) to save key cards (Ex: [Phật](/en/card/35051) + [Fujii](/en/card/34040) for 3 total damage, 5 in hand.) In an extreme edge case you might elect to first tuck a key card like [Ashen Epilogue](/en/card/34094) or [Rising Tide](/en/card/35009) if you don't want to risk losing it to the second damage instance ([Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) will only trigger once). - Without [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093), you can use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to trash [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004), decreasing the odds the damage will hit cards you need. ### Discard Tucking You can use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) and [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) to tuck cards that aren't currently relevant and are clogging up your hand which you want to be full of Connections. This allows you to overdraw without losing key pieces. - [Ashen Epilogue](/en/card/34094) is one of the best targets because near the bottom of the deck is often where you want it anyway. - [Privileged Access](/en/card/34068) can be situational, sometimes you don't have connections in hand, Archives is inaccessible, and maybe you want to wait for Threat-3 if [Gourmand](/en/card/35007) or [Rising Tide](/en/card/35009) are important. - [Transfer of Wealth](/en/card/35017) if the corp is playing around this by being able to duck it, or you simply cant access HQ for a while, tucking one or two of these is reasonable until you can get break into HQ. ### [Hannah "Wheels" Pilintra](/en/card/34008) Looping - ["Wheels"](/en/card/34008)-Run a Remote for free +1 - : ["Wheels"](/en/card/34008) to remove 1 tag. +1 - Play [Privileged Access](/en/card/34068), reinstall ["Wheels"](/en/card/34008) - Repeat as long as you have remotes to run - Meanwhile you're installing free Connections from hand with [Seb](/en/card/34066) and reinstalling a [Gourmand](/en/card/35007) for every remote poke. ### [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) Looping Prerequisite [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) & [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) Installed. **Stack must be empty except listed cards.** - "Boring draw" Loop (2/turn cycle) or (4/turn cycle) - 1x/2x [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) in Grip. - Use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to trash [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) and [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) it to Stack. (Repeat each turn per [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001)) - : Draw [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) **OR** use [Solidarity Badge](/en/card/34003) or [Amanuensis](/en/card/34069) to draw [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) clicklessly. (Draw both if 2x [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001)) - [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) Loop (Clickless 2/turn cycle) - 2x [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) and 1x [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) in Grip. - Use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to trash [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) and [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) it to Stack. - Next turn, use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to trash [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) and [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) it to Stack. - Next turn, use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to trash [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) drawing [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) and [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004). [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) returns the [Steelskin Scarring](/en/card/33004) that was just trashed to Stack, completing the loop. - [Lago Paranoá Shelter](/en/card/34009) Loop (Clickless 4/turn cycle) - Any number of [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) in Stack. - Wait for [Lago Paranoá Shelter](/en/card/34009) to trigger, trashing [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) and [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) it to Stack. - This happens before the draw from [Lago Paranoá Shelter](/en/card/34009), so you will draw [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) to Grip. **Even if you only have a single [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) in the Stack**. (This works because nested costs *"you may X to Y"* are processed as two separate "[Instructions](https://rules.nullsignal.games/?r=rule_nested_cost_instruction#:~:text=If%20an%20ability%20contains%20a%20nested%20cost%2C%20the%20choice%20of%20whether%20or%20not%20to%20pay%20that%20cost%20ends%20an%20instruction%2E)". Therefore, triggers that meet their condition on [Lago](/en/card/34009)'s trash ([Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093)'s trigger) will be processed before [Lago](/en/card/34009)'s draw.) - Next turn, use [Audrey v2](/en/card/34004) to trash [Strike Fund](/en/card/34001) and [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093) it to Stack. ### **A note for corps on [Lago Paranoá Shelter](/en/card/34009)** - You can minimize [Lago](/en/card/34009) triggers by clumping your Asset/Upgrade/Agenda installs. - Plan your turn, if you will be triggering [Lago](/en/card/34009) this turn, do it before other installs. You may see key cards like [Rising Tide](/en/card/35009), [Botulus](/en/card/30004), [Arruaceiras Crew](/en/card/34073) or [Devil Charm](/en/card/26068) get trashed or [Buffer Drive](/en/card/26093)'d to the bottom. In some cases giving you perfect information about which ICE the runner can break, and this may change your ICE install. - If you will trigger [Lago](/en/card/34009) multiple times in a turn, do so with the least committal play first. (Ex. Install an [Upgrade](/en/card/30050) before the [Agenda](/en/card/36037)) If the new information changes things, such as [Botulus](/en/card/30004) in the bin which can be recurred by [Privileged Access](/en/card/34068), you no longer have to commit the Agenda. - If your opponent read this article, I guess you should mix it up so they don't know which one to [Pinhole Threading](/en/card/33013) ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
A public decklist by Sokka. User description: My first Corp deck of Vantage Point has to be a Knowledge Seeker deck, so why not lean as hard as I can into it. This deck has been very fun! Some random thoughts from playing this list so far: - Let Them Dream is very good - Lionsmane is very good - Lotus Haze beating Pinhole is very good - Melies is a very fun ID but having to physically pick up the IDs and shuffle them when in person is kind of annoying - 2x Spin Doctor is the correct number in Melies Probably this whole “Void is a crazy card, Pinhole beats Void, Lotus Haze beats Pinhole” is not healthy for the game. I think in a normal year I might not be too happy about this but not going to worlds means I’m weirdly not worried about it. Just live life and enjoy playing Netrunner! 😊 Keep an eye out on [my YouTube](https://youtube.com/@sokka234-?si=PKedAB7czylwLx41) for some gameplay in the near future!
