What was that for again? 🙃 #PastTimes #RetroAudio

@johnmacintosh

Ooooh the vinyl LP adapter?

@johnmacintosh 7" Schallplatte, 45 rpm
@johnmacintosh haven't seen one of those for fifty years.

@johnmacintosh Those are 45 rpm adaptors for small 45 rpm records to be properly positioned on a record player. 45 rpm records had a big center hole.

You can still by them. Just look for 45 rpm adaptor, vinyl single adaptor or whatever. They come in tons of shapes and colors. But the classic ones are those on your image.

@paulfoerster Or you could use something like this
@johnmacintosh These are obviously Shurikens, as used by ninjas. 😂

@johnmacintosh It's hard, just under your post my feed gives me this: https://mastodon.online/@Pepijn/116391200038528928

So if you have no vinyl, you could perhaps cut grass with it. 🤣

Attached: 1 image Our new brush cutter arrived as I was away for some days on a work trip. Unbeknownst to me it came with a 20cm circular saw attachment (photo, right). I try really REALLY hard be a sensible and responsible adult and thus got a battery powered brush cutter with a metal grass cutting disk (instead of plastic wire etc.). As some recent discussions on lifting up swans show: that is not my natural state. Anyway. I'm now taking bets on whether this 20cm circular saw can take down a 40cm thick tree.

@johnmacintosh

Used to center singles on your turn table.

Before they came up with bright idea of universal single adaptor.
