Je suis profondément désappointé•e et choqué•e.

J'ai appris par une amie Gazaouie que #BlueSky bloque les comptes des Palestinien•nes en recherche d'aide.

Après avoir enquêté un peu de mon côté (et pour être sûr•e que ce ne soit pas leur tranquilité blanche qui souhaitait rester loin de la misère et des demandes d'aide face à l'urgence), il s'avère que beaucoup de #scammers y sévissaient, profitant de la générosité et solidarité des utilisateurices, invisibilisant ainsi les personnes qui sont RÉELLEMENT dans le besoin.

Donc par prévention BlueSky s'est lancé dans une purge...

@Shibanarchiste It's insane, it's an ongoing thing, I got some spam mentions even today… there are literally thousands of identical accounts with handles only differing with a number at the end, same photo, all pointing to gofund.me, and tagging or replying to people randomly. At some point they started expanding to some independent-run servers which were not protected well (same as there was this spam wave on the Fedi ~1-2 years ago with some Chinese or Japanese messages).

@Shibanarchiste If there are some real legit people from Gaza asking for help there too, unfortunately they're drowning in the sea of those scams :\

@mackuba Yeeeees 😭😭😭 tip : try to check if there is a "gazaverified" link in their biography. I used to be solicitated too by numerous profiles without this link and I skip or ignore them until there is a Gaza verified link in their bio. 🥴😔
