Truly mortifying how in the last 1 week the USA and Israel killed 300+ civilians by illegally invading Lebanon, destroyed the Rafi Nai Synagogue in Iran, and threatened Pope Leo in the Vatican, yet per TIME reporting, Democratic leadership is still reluctant to impeach Trump. And to be sure, all MAGA Republicans are complicit too. Congressional cowardice is just off the charts.

Does he need to launch an actual nuke before Congress acts?

@QasimRashid I don't see the point of impeachment as a minority in Congress. Dems cannot even get impeachment passed in the House. I do see great value in us Democratic voters naming, shaming & confronting our own relatives, friends & neighbors who vote GOP. I see far too little of that from you, and I'm confident you have a lot of ties to people who voted for Trump & Republicans.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @QasimRashid voters are the problem, most of all. That starts with the ones who vote GOP, followed by those who don't vote at all, or don't except for President in general elections. Turnout in primaries and midterms is abysmal. Very very few run for even the lowest local offices, let alone higher offices. We have a lot of grassroots bigotry and hatred, as well as civic irresponsibility. Then many slam leading Democrats for not being performative enough.

The dynamic for this is a lot more subtle because the Democratic leadership is pouring acid on younger voters this pathetic attack on Piker. That’s the best they seem to think of is to turn him into Public Enemy number one.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @QasimRashid I literally have never heard any leading Democrat mention Hasan Piker. Young black voters were the most Trumpy among black voters, yet they voted for Democrats at a FAR higher rate than any non-blacks of any age. I do not believe that young non-black voters are more oppressed by leading Democrats than young black voters, quite the contrary.
