it's always weird to me how universally adored lwaxana troi is as a character given that she seems to exist solely to make everyone around her as viscerally uncomfortable as possible at all times and also to occasionally sexually harass a lost goo child

you might think that "lost goo child" is an embellishment on my part but odo's writing makes so much more sense once you realize he's written as a standoffish teenager desperate to belong but who knows that he doesn't & puts up a hard exterior to cope with that fact
