One of my all time favorite games: Microprose World Circuit (aka Formula One Grand Prix) DOS 1992.
$FRIEND brought his PC and CRT (on his bicycle) and we stayed up all night to play the Monaco track, in FULL LENGTH with all collisions enabled, in two player mode over serial null modem cable. "We didn’t know it yet, but this was as good as it gets"

@82mhz LOL 😆 286 strapped to the Gepäckträger and CRT on the bicycle center bar between the legs. And sometimes we used two bikes.

@matzelocal LOL I still have an old racing wheel somewhere in the basement, but I think it's USB and needs a driver. One with serial or parallel port could work in dosbox on IRIX 🤔

@flexion I’m not 100% sure, but it could be that I have a gameport wheel at my parents house.
But F1GP was always quite fiddly with wheels… it had some sort of steering assist, which was quite annoying back then.
