@arstechnica There are hundreds of people criticizing ICE on Reddit. I didn’t see anything in the article explaining what makes this guy different from the rest.

Yes. I think that's the government's point. They picked out somebody to make an example of them. The more harmless the victim, the more powerful they seem. (But only if their prosecution is successful.)
