Every weekend I look back at the preceding week in Kpop and pick out a music video or performance that I have particularly liked. This week I have chosen RESCENE – Runaway.

Although this past week I have been enjoying Kpop from a number of groups, the song that stands out to me is the RESCENE comeback.

From the opening guitar and synthesizer, through the contrasting first and second choruses, to that emancipated dance break in the forest just before they head out to see the sun rise -- everything about this MV is magical!

I'm so glad you liked it. "Dreamy" and "Gothic" are two adjectives that occurred to me as well when watching the MV. I love the way the first chorus has that airy sound when May leads, but when we have Minami opening the second chorus the vocals become that much more forceful - and that post chorus after the second !

While we are on the topic of recent comebacks, may I ask your opinion of YOUNG POSSE -- 'we don't go to bed tonight' ?

I know you've liked their previous releases. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this . Although it's not going to be one of my all time favourites, I will be going back to it.

I expect a lot of people will hate all the vocal processing, a feature which I find thoroughly enjoyable here.

@jemmesedi I've only listened to "We Don't Go To Bed Tonight" a couple of times, but I like it quite a lot. Another strong addition to their catalog. I feel like they're pushing themselves into interesting new directions.
