LukefromDC@theintercept But NOT impossibe. Trump's "service record" with the bone spurs could be his biggest problem. That factor could cause any draft to be hooted down in a storm of open public refusal to comply.
Conscription BTW means giving people a good reason to hate the government, then giving them guns and possibly even tanks and planes too.
I find it interesting that the language in this used the term "channeling." That was the term usrd by Vietnam-era Selective Service top boss General Hershey to use fear of conscription to force other young men into jobs and careers benefiting the military-industrial complex of that time.
Lockpick Extreme@theintercept about two months after 9/11 my two teenage boys (at the time) were registered for selective service without any action on our part just like what is being proposed as a "change" today.
