Is there any way to update Tweesecake and preserve my configs and sessions etc? Seems running the in-client updater doesn't work. Otherwise I guess I just nuke the whole thing and download it fresh from the website.
@robbiec12345 just extract the zip file over the top. notes for after upgrade: due to internal changes, you may, actually will, need to delete your session.db from your mastodon folder in %appdata%\tweesecake or if you made the app fully portable, from userdata. also, you may need to update session.json and make sure https:// is in front of the instance URL.
@munchkinbear I don't see anywhere obvious in session.json to put an instance URL, the only thing I see is a token and config options unless this is something that appears in the new version. Also there's a few session.db files, do I nuke all of them?
@robbiec12345 closing tweesecake will make the .db.shm and .db.wal files fuck off. then you'll just have to delete the .db file, in the .json file, their should be a URL line. if not that might come after launch post upgrade.
