Part of the reason for why I'm watching Heat Guy J and Gun x Sword now is me feeling nostalgic for the bygone era in which anime-original shows got a full 26 episodes to tell their stories. I wrapped up Heat Guy J, which was solid, but I'll start Gun x Sword later this weekend.

A pic of Heat Guy J. I strongly believe we'll be able to attach these to quoted posts one day.
Now that I'm about halfway through it: I can say that Gun x Sword is also a nostalgia trip through being a mecha anime not attached to an existing property, with *hand-drawn* mechs at that. I also think it's a stronger show than Heat Guy J.
@Dio_Senrab A full 26-episodes for a season of anime, or just a complete show is certainly a rarity now!
@damagecontrolblog Yup, it's a serious nostalgia trip. It gives all the characters a chance to shine, and is great for the worldbuilding purposes.
