The funny thing about this POLITICO Europe poll is that the people voting for "the cheapest energy sources" are ALSO for renewables (they just don't know it, because they are thoroughly disinformed by fossil and nuclear propaganda). Renewables are the cheapest source. Full stop.
Even though the majority of people in Germany still seem to be on track of the Energiewende, there is the highest share (20%) of those who don't seem to bother, as they demand the cheapest energy. In other words: they don't give a sh*t on climate care.
Fun fact: probably they don't know, they also demand renewable energy, as it's the cheapest energy, as @chrisstoecker points out.
@chrisstoecker @Ruhrnalist Renewables are cheaper only when taking full costs into account. But the full costs are not on the energy bill.

As an example, a huge problem with nuclear power is disposal of spent fuel, and insuring against accidents. Turns out both costs are not on the power bill but paid from taxes.
