As clichΓ©d as it is, I hope at least one of the astronauts on #ArtemisII did the "I love you to the moon and back" line.

Dark Side of the Moon is a Pink Floyd album.

You're thinking of the far side of the moon.

Imagine being all the way out in space and you STILL can't escape the Chief Fash.

Because I've heard her name pronounced all kinds of ways, even in the official NASA videos.

She pronounces her surname like Cook.

Meet Artemis II Astronaut Christina Koch

Yay! Welcome back, #Integrity!

#Artemis2

1 million dropped off the YouTube livestream since splashdown haha. Not me, though.

#Artemis2

I think Christina was due to leave first? I don't think it's been confirmed yet though.

#Artemis2

I wish humanity could look after each other the way the recovery crew are looking after the astronauts.

Glover and Koch all smiles.

Now it's time for a well deserved rest.

And the astronauts are probably pretty tired too.

What was really satisfying was how the splashdown was due for 00.07 UTC and they splashed down at 00.07:26 UTC. Perfection.

I really hope they get #DerrolNail to do the countdown and commentary for #Artemis3 too. There's something very satisfying about how he sounds incredibly calm and yet enthusiastic at the same time.

Still bummed they cut the rocket separation from the main launch video, but at least we see it all here!

"And here we go!"

Some cool things that we have because of #space exploration and research. Graphic from jpl.nasa.gov.

I've seen a lot of people recently complain about spending money on space exploration when we have people starving on Earth, but would that NASA money have been spent on feeding people and providing healthcare if it wasn't spent on NASA? Probably not.

The #Artemis2 mission showed humanity working together for the common good. The astronauts really made a point of humanity being one, and that love is the most important thing. The outside perspective of the Hello, World photo shows just how precious and fragile our Earth is. It seems a lot of people need to be reminded of that.

I found out who the other commentator was after lift off.

His name is #GaryJordan. I like knowing details!

Now I need to find out who the woman doing the commentary for #ArtemisI was.

Plus it's not an either-or situation. I like what an article I read recently said, that what this mission proves is that we have the ability to tackle big problems, the only obstacle is somehow getting the political will to do so.

@SilverArrows
Cool!
Yeah, I was annoyed by that cut too. After so many years of watching shuttle launches, "SRB sep" was a nice connection to those days.

Edit: Just watched the launch video, the sep was very satisfying.
Also, I like the other video as well. πŸ‘
