I used Plugshare to check out Level 3 EV chargers in Nova Scotia. Most were/are down, under repairs, or just did not work. Be wary driving an EV in Nova Scotia. It seems the most reliable are at Irving stations

@harold I've been having a lot of problems at fast charger stations lately. I only have a CHAdemo adapter, and so many of the stations are just totally terrible. Bad interfaces, broken card readers, won't start charging (with no explanation -- see: Bad Interfaces), or stops charging within minutes for no discernible reason.
I think a lot of the problem is the business model -- folks buy the equipment, pay for installation, then outsource account management to someone else. The missing component is repair and maintenance. Because owners are responsible for repairs (not the folks who run the app/accounts) stations stay broken for weeks-to-months instead of hours-to-days.
@harold Yup, I used to keep my car at the office, because the property manager said he didn’t care if I plugged into the wall socket in my parking space. I was doing about 2000kms a month, and driving for free was a huge perk.
Right now I rent a space and pay $40/month for unlimited charging. It’s awesome to start every morning with “3/4 a tank”, which would last an entire week if I needed it.
