Ajit Ananthadevan@dbtechyt I did start my DIY NAS journey (piracy anyone?) with OMV, 5 years back.
But soon got sick of the pesky UI. Moved to vanilla Debian with docker-compose. The advantage here was, everything was built on text based config files, so easy to replicate from a bunch of text files..
A few years later I now use Podman (and quadlets) instead. Among many other benefits, is the fair play with firewalls :)
