I have reached the point in the exploration of Eurorack modules that this link to a uranium-based CV generator seems like a good idea.

The cost is more than I can justify, but my searches indicate that it takes a lot more uranium to make you sick than I would have guessed.

@DekaBlack Right??? Eurorack is in the "licking radium on the brushes to make the glow in the dark watches" phase of creation. I'm going to be using "smoothskin" as an insult for the next 200 years after I eventually get this can of poison racked!
@icecreamjonsey Yeah.Must admit i also thought "So, that's what happened with Mechagodzilla's scrap metal!"
@icecreamjonsey Uranium is only slightly more radioactive than dirt, go for it!
@aachrisg Seriously, it's all hype! What a PR team uranium has. 😀
@icecreamjonsey Overhyped for billions of years. Get over yourself uranium. Oklo was a long time ago and those days are never coming back.
@icecreamjonsey @aachrisg Now, the heavy metal poisoning...
@mcmartin uranium is so lame that its stable decay product is at least as toxic. it's so lame that when Marie Curie chemically removed it from uranium ore, it got _more_ radioactive.

@mcmartin Yeah, the storefront page advises potential customers to not open the glued-shut container for presumably that reason. Honestly, my goal if I do this will to become the "Geoff Downes of Not Tongue-Bathing His Synth Before the Show" which, upon reflection, might just already be Geoff Downes.

@icecreamjonsey @mcmartin

The only thing stopping me from making a uranotype print is the idea of handling powdered uranium / uranyl nitrate

@maddiefuzz @mcmartin Whoa, this is cool and fascinating. Thanks for sharing this!

@icecreamjonsey

This is RAD(io active)! ☢

@icecreamjonsey it's so funny, i've seen a few like this in various modular formats. it's like how eventually everything turns into a crab.
@icecreamjonsey unenriched uranium ore is not that dangerous as long as you're not inhaling the dust. Probably not great for the person assembling these but hopefully they're using appropriate PPE.

@icecreamjonsey cool, and kind of terrifying
