@nickofnz @collectifission The plastic industry pushed anti-littering campaigns while squashing state laws that would have banned single-use plastics back in the 60s and 70s.

@nickofnz And while the industry produces harmful, toxic and polluting products, it is to the consumer to carefully recycle and pay for that recycling through both green taxes and local taxes…

The industry gets out scot-free but with pockets full.
