VitskapsdamaGood news on the kākāpō front. This year a record of at least 95 chicks are growing. The previous record was 76 chicks in 2019. With only 235 adult kākāpōs, every chick is important. When they make it to 150 days, they turn to fletchlings and are added to the official population count.
