Trump's 10% global #tariffs face scrutiny in the US Court of International Trade.

The tariffs, seen as illegal and causing importers unnecessary hardship, are being challenged by small businesses and ~24 states with support from the Left AND Right from former economic officials like Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Right-leaning groups like the Cato Institute & Advancing American Freedom (founded by former VP Mike Pence).

These are DIFFERENT #tariffs than the ones that SCOTUS struck down in February.

#Trump initiated the tariffs currently being challenged on the SAME DAY that SCOTUS struck down the other ones. He enacted the new ones under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which allows the #US president to "unilaterally surcharge imports" up to 15% for up to 150 days ~"to deal with large and serious #USA balance-of-payments deficits." But the plaintiffs say there is no such deficit.
