The emails we receive for new apps have grown exponentially on a weekly basis for the past few months. Pretty much the effect of AI agents and vibe coding.

The App Debuts section of Weekly is how we keep up with all this. I basically filter 40/50 new apps every week now.

(Can't even imagine what it's like for Apple.)

Not to mention the AI-generated email pitches.

A pretty good way to spot them:

Claude/ChatGPT love to mention which APIs and frameworks were used in the making of an app 😜

(At the very least though, the AI is never getting my name wrong!)

@viticci Ah that's a tough one, when I pitch you and John I always mention that because you're one of the few outlets who actually understand its implications. Tough problem to solve though, I can't imagine the volume you all receive these days.
@jordanmorgan oh but it's easy to spot the genuine ones. Most of them are SO OBVIOUSLY copied and pasted from a chatbot
