#Capitalists don't want you to have #kids.

They don't want you leaving #work to take care of a #baby. They don't want you demanding enough of a #wage to pay for #food and #water for someone too #young to work.

You're not "expanding the #workforce" either, since #machines can do most #jobs more productively anyway (not higher quality, but for more #profit and they don't #unionize). And most capitalists are #old and don't expect to be alive when a baby born today is old enough to work.

@AstroMancer5G I think coming from a queer perspective this is true, but we are dealing with multiple huge laws being repealed to ensure women are kept pregnant. Pregnancy and child rearing has always been used to control people born with the ability to make people, and while your take is completely correct, there is another front to this battle that some child free women are trying to fight in the other direction. It can be both!
@foundseed
Sure, but most people talking about reproductive justice give all their attention to childfree people and act like everyone who does want children is privileged, encouraged, and supported in doing so. Part of this is the superiority complex a lot of childfree people have about being childfree, and the limited imagination many have of oppression beyond their own experience.
