Out of curiousity: are there any image formats/standards that embed alt text with the image itself in a way that screenreaders might effectively interpret?
Alternatively, are there any standards for interchange of alt text together with image data?

Currently, the best I've seen is Framameme's "copy alt text" button, and I refuse to believe nobody tried to make something better 😅
